FAQ
Cloud setup & DevOps FAQs
How much does cloud setup and DevOps cost?
US clients pay $1,500 to $8,000 and Australian clients pay A$2,000 to A$11,000. A single app with a basic pipeline is at the low end. Multi-service Kubernetes clusters with autoscaling and observability sit at the top.
How long does it take?
Two to six weeks depending on how much already exists. Greenfield projects move fast. Migrating a running production system without downtime is slower because every cutover needs a rollback plan.
Who owns the cloud account?
You do, always. We work inside your account with scoped IAM roles rather than creating resources under ours. Your bill, your data, your control.
What happens after launch?
Pipelines need occasional maintenance as dependencies age, and cloud pricing changes. Some clients run it themselves after handover; others keep a monthly retainer for on-call and upgrades.
How predictable is the monthly cloud bill?
Compute and storage are predictable. Egress bandwidth and managed database costs are the two lines that surprise people. We set budget alerts and tell you which line items to watch before you go live.
Do we need Kubernetes?
Usually not. For a single application, a managed container service or even a plain virtual machine is cheaper and far easier to operate. Kubernetes earns its complexity when you run many services with independent scaling needs.
Which cloud provider do you recommend?
It depends on what your team already knows, not on which one is trending. AWS has the widest service catalogue, Google Cloud is strong on data tooling, and Azure tends to fit companies already inside Microsoft agreements.
