FAQ
Brand identity & logo FAQs
How much does a logo and brand identity cost?
Between roughly $300 and $2,000 USD, or A$450 to A$2,800. The lower end covers a logo suite plus a basic guideline sheet. The upper end includes a full identity system: typography specification, colour system with accessible contrast pairings, collateral templates and a guidelines document substantial enough that your team never has to ask how to apply the brand.
How many logo concepts will I see?
We present three to five distinct directions rather than twenty variations of the same idea. A large quantity of near-identical options usually means the studio has not committed to a point of view. The directions will differ in approach, not just in colour.
What files do I receive?
Editable source files, vector formats for print and signage, PNG and SVG for web use, and correctly sized exports for social platforms. You also receive the colour values in HEX, RGB and CMYK so your printer and developer are working from the same numbers.
Can you redesign an existing brand without losing recognition?
Usually, yes, and it is often the better commercial decision. A full replacement throws away years of accumulated recognition. An evolution keeps the elements customers already know, such as a distinctive colour or mark silhouette, and modernises what has dated. We will advise which suits your situation rather than defaulting to a rebuild.
Who owns the logo and the source files?
You do. Full ownership of the final artwork and the source files transfers to you on completion. We do not retain rights to your logo or require ongoing payment to keep using it.
How long does a brand identity project take?
Typically two to four weeks. The variable is not design time but decision time. Projects move quickly when one person has authority to approve, and slow down considerably when a committee reviews each round.
Do you also design the website in the same visual language?
Yes, and doing both together is usually better value. When the same team designs the identity and the interface, the brand system gets tested against real screens during the process rather than handed to a developer who has to interpret a PDF.
