FAQ
SEO services FAQs
How much does SEO cost?
Plans start at $300 per month and reach $1,500 per month in USD, or A$450 to A$2,000 for Australian clients. The lower end covers one market, a modest page count and about 10 to 15 hours of work monthly. Multi-region campaigns, competitive commercial keywords, ongoing content production and link acquisition sit at the top. We bill monthly with a three-month minimum because nothing meaningful happens in month one.
How long until we see SEO results?
Expect 3 to 6 months before traffic moves in a way you can defend to a board, and 9 to 12 months for competitive commercial keywords. Our own Search Console data shows the pattern plainly: months one and two were flat, and growth only became obvious after consistent publishing and technical fixes compounded. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is selling you something else.
Who owns the content, keywords and reports you produce?
You own everything. Keyword research, content briefs, technical audit documents, published articles and the GSC and Analytics properties stay in your accounts. If you leave, you keep the lot and we hand over the working files in Google Docs and Sheets format. There is no proprietary dashboard you lose access to.
What happens after the engagement, and is support included?
While the retainer runs, changes we made that break something, or recommendations we implemented that misfire, get fixed at no extra charge. New work, such as adding a fourth target market or building a content hub, is quoted separately. If you stop the retainer, your site keeps ranking on the work already done, though competitor movement and algorithm updates mean most clients keep at least a light monthly plan.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and nobody honestly can. Google's ranking systems factor in competitor behaviour, link profiles, brand signals and user engagement that no agency controls. What we do commit to is measurable work: a set number of technical fixes, pages optimised and content pieces shipped each month, reported against traffic and position data. We would rather show you flat quarters than quote a ranking we cannot deliver.
Do you build backlinks, and how?
We pursue editorial links through original research, data studies, expert commentary and genuine digital PR outreach, targeting relevant publications in your industry. We do not buy link packages, use private blog networks or drop links in forum comments, because those tactics carry real penalty risk and often reverse gains. Link work is slow and often gives the least predictable return per hour, which is why we weight technical and content work first.
