FAQ
Business consulting (hourly) FAQs
How much does consulting cost per hour?
US clients pay $80 to $150 per hour and Australian clients pay A$110 to A$200 per hour. The lower rate applies to planning and review work. Architecture reviews, investor documentation, and urgent turnaround sit at the higher end.
What is the minimum booking?
Two hours. Below that there is not enough time to understand your situation and give you something useful. Most first engagements run four to six hours across two calls.
Who owns the documents you produce?
You do, with no restrictions. Roadmaps, specifications, estimates, and slide decks are yours to use, share, or hand to another vendor.
What happens after the sessions end?
You keep the recordings and the written summary, so nothing depends on us being available later. If you want ongoing advisory time, we offer a monthly block at a slightly lower hourly rate.
Can you review a technical proposal another agency sent us?
Yes, and this is one of the more common requests. We read the scope, flag anything ambiguous, point out what is missing, and give you a realistic price band so you can tell whether the quote is fair.
Will you tell us if we do not need to build anything?
Often that is the answer. Plenty of problems are solved by fixing a process or buying an existing tool for a few hundred dollars a year. We would rather say that in hour one than sell you a six-month project.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, before the first call if you want one. Send yours or use ours. We do not discuss client work or share documents with anyone outside the engagement.
