Deliverables & Scope

  • → A scheduling stack configured in Buffer, Hootsuite or a custom API-based tool, connected to every platform you publish on with permissions verified by a live test post
  • → A content pipeline that runs from your brief or spreadsheet through to scheduled posts, including image sizing rules so nothing gets cropped on publish
  • → Automatic cross-posting rules with per-platform caption and hashtag variations, since a caption built for LinkedIn reads badly on Instagram
  • → A monthly performance dashboard pulling reach, engagement, follower change and click data into one sheet or Looker Studio report
  • → Written operating instructions and a short video walkthrough so your team can add posts, reschedule and read the report without us

Post-Delivery

  • → 30-Day Bug Warranty
  • → Source Files & Ownership
  • → Handover Training Session

FAQ

Social media scheduling automation FAQs

How much does social media scheduling automation cost?

Setup plus one month of management runs from $300 to $1,500 USD, or A$400 to A$2,000 for Australian clients. Two to three platforms with a spreadsheet-driven pipeline sits at the lower end. Custom API scheduling, approval workflows, team permissions and dashboard builds sit higher. Tool subscriptions such as Buffer or Hootsuite are billed by the vendor to your own account.

How long does setup take?

Two to four weeks for a standard multi-platform setup. Week one is connections and permissions, week two is pipeline and template building, and the last stretch is a live trial where you schedule a real batch and we watch it publish. Custom API work that bypasses a scheduling tool takes 4 to 6 weeks, mostly because platform API review is outside our control.

Who owns the scheduling setup and the content?

Your accounts, your content, your publishing history. The scheduling tool sits on your subscription in your name, and any custom integration or script we write is handed over as source code with documentation. Queued content and drafts belong to you. If you switch tools later, we can export your content calendar into a spreadsheet rather than leaving it locked inside a tool you are cancelling.

What is covered after setup, and what costs extra?

The package includes one month of management, and we fix anything broken in the pipeline at no charge for 30 days after that. Adding a new platform, building an approval workflow for a legal or compliance team, or adding a new reporting dimension is new work with its own quote. Ongoing monthly management after the first month is optional and priced separately.

Do platform APIs limit what can be automated?

Yes, and the limits change without much warning. Instagram still restricts automated posting for some content types and requires a business account linked to a Facebook page. LinkedIn caps how often you can post through its API. X's API pricing changed sharply and broke many third-party scheduling tools overnight. We build for the limits that exist today and tell you which parts of your workflow need a human to click publish.

Should we use a scheduling tool or a custom integration?

Use an off-the-shelf tool unless you have a specific reason not to. Buffer and Hootsuite are cheap, reliable and maintained by teams whose whole job is tracking API changes. Custom integrations only make sense when you need scheduling tied to inventory, event data or an internal CMS, or when the tool's per-seat pricing has outgrown a build. Custom means you own the failure mode too, so budget for maintenance either way.
