FAQ
Influencer & affiliate marketing FAQs
How much does influencer and affiliate marketing cost?
Between $600 and $3,500 USD for our management work, or A$800 to A$5,000. That is the studio fee, not the creator fees. Creator payments are separate and usually the larger number. A micro-influencer in a niche category often charges $100 to $500 per post, while a mid-tier creator with genuine reach can ask $2,000 or more for a single video.
What return should we expect?
Honestly, it varies enough that we will not put a number on it before running a test. A first campaign with ten mid-sized creators typically produces usable data rather than profit: which audience responds, what offer converts, what a view is actually worth to you. Budget the first round as research. If someone guarantees a 5x return on influencer spend, ask them which client that was and whether they will put it in the contract.
Do you find the creators, or do we?
We do the sourcing, and we screen out purchased followers, engagement pods and accounts whose comments are all from the same twenty people. We check average views against follower count, look at comment quality, and confirm the creator actually uses products in your category. You approve the final list before anyone is contacted. What we cannot do is make a creator accept your brief.
Affiliate or influencer, which should we start with?
Affiliate first if you have a product people can buy online and repeat. It is performance-based, so you pay only on sales and the downside is limited to the setup and management fee. Influencer work is better when you need reach or credibility fast, and worse when cash is tight, because you pay up front for content and the sales may never arrive.
Who owns the content the creators produce?
That depends entirely on the contract, and it is the clause most brands forget. By default a creator owns their video and grants you a limited licence. If you want to run their footage as a paid ad for twelve months, that has to be negotiated and usually costs more. We write usage rights into every brief so this is settled before filming rather than after a video performs well.
How long does a campaign take?
Four to eight weeks for the first one. Sourcing and outreach take two weeks, negotiation and briefing another week, then creators need two to three weeks to produce and publish. Affiliate programs need about three weeks to configure but take months to build momentum, because you need enough affiliates publishing regularly before the numbers mean anything.
What happens after the campaign ends?
You get the full performance report and own the relationships, the tracking links and the affiliate accounts. Commission payouts stay your responsibility unless you retainer us to run them. If a creator performed well, rebooking them directly is cheaper than going through an agency, and we will give you their contact details rather than holding them back.
