FAQ

CRO: conversion rate optimization FAQs

How much does CRO cost?

US clients pay $600 to $3,000 per month and Australian clients pay A$800 to A$4,000 per month. The low end covers one test running at a time on a single page. Several concurrent tests across a funnel with deeper analysis sits at the top.

How long before we see results?

A single test needs two to four weeks to reach a usable sample size on most sites. Meaningful movement in your overall conversion rate usually takes two to three months of stacked wins. Low-traffic sites take longer, because there is no shortcut around sample size.

Who owns the test code and the data?

You do. The test variants, the analytics setup, and every report are yours. If you stop the retainer, winning variants stay live and the test history remains in your account.

What happens if we stop the retainer?

Winning tests remain in place and you keep the documentation on what was tried. Losing tests we remove. The main thing you lose is the ongoing test pipeline and the analysis that decides what to try next.

Can you guarantee a conversion increase?

No. Most well-run tests lose or tie, and that is normal. What we guarantee is a tested process, honest reporting on every result, and no claim of a win that the numbers do not support.

What if we do not get enough traffic to test?

Then A/B testing is the wrong tool and we say so. Under roughly 10,000 monthly visitors, we recommend fixing obvious usability problems from heatmaps and session recordings first, since those changes do not need statistical significance to be worth making.

Do you need access to our analytics and site?

Yes, editor access to your site or tag manager, plus analytics and your ad accounts if you run paid traffic. Without ad or landing page data we are guessing about which traffic converts and why.
