FAQ
AI-powered customer support bot FAQs
How much does an AI support bot cost?
US clients pay $1,500 to $8,000 and Australian clients pay A$2,000 to A$12,000 as a one-time build. The low end is a single-channel bot on an existing help centre; the high end covers several channels, a ticket-system integration, and custom escalation logic. You also carry a monthly running cost for model tokens, usually $20 to $300 depending on conversation volume.
How long does it take to build?
Two to five weeks from kickoff. Most of that time is not coding. It is cleaning up your existing documentation so the bot retrieves the right answer instead of guessing.
Who owns the bot and the knowledge base?
You do. The source code, prompts, vector store, and the cleaned knowledge base are handed over at the end of the build. Nothing is locked to our account.
What happens after launch?
The first 30 days include tuning: reading transcripts, fixing wrong answers, and tightening escalation triggers. After that you either maintain it in-house or take a monthly support retainer.
How accurate will the answers be?
On a well-organised knowledge base we typically see 70 to 85 percent of questions resolved without a human. That number drops sharply if your documentation is thin or out of date. We measure it during the first month and report the real figure rather than a promise.
Will it make up answers it does not know?
It can, which is why we configure a retrieval threshold: if no source document scores high enough, the bot says it will pass the question to a person instead of inventing a reply. The threshold is tunable, and we set it conservative by default.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. Modern models handle Bangla, English, and most other languages from the same knowledge base. We test the languages your customers actually use, because quality varies by language.
