Deliverables & Scope

  • → Core, plugin and theme updates applied on a staging copy first, then pushed live after testing, so an update never takes your site down on a Friday
  • → Daily off-site backups retained for 30 days, with a restore tested every quarter rather than assumed to work when you need it
  • → Uptime, SSL expiry and malware monitoring with alerts, plus a monthly check of Search Console for indexation drops, crawl errors and manual actions
  • → An agreed block of content editing hours each month for text changes, image swaps, new pages and form updates, with a simple request channel and tracked turnaround
  • → A short monthly report listing what was updated, what was edited, what broke and what it cost in hours, so you can see where the retainer went

Post-Delivery

  • → 30-Day Bug Warranty
  • → Source Files & Ownership

FAQ

Website maintenance & support FAQs

How much does website maintenance cost?

Plans run from $150 to $600 per month in USD, or A$200 to A$800 per month. The lower end covers updates, backups, monitoring and about two hours of edits. Busy e-commerce sites, custom applications needing dependency upgrades, and plans with four or more editing hours per month sit at the top. There is no lock-in contract, we bill monthly and you can stop with 30 days notice.

How quickly do you respond when something breaks?

Critical issues, meaning the site is down or checkout is failing, get a response within 2 hours during Bangladesh business hours and within 8 hours outside them. Standard edit requests are handled within 2 to 3 working days. A timezone difference with Australia, the US and the UK means some of your day sits outside ours, and we are honest that overnight emergencies are handled on a best-effort basis unless you take the priority plan.

Who owns the site and everything you do to it?

You own the site, the hosting account, all content and every change we make. Backups are stored in your own cloud storage account where possible, not just ours. If you cancel, you keep access to everything including the backup history. We will also export the update log so your next developer knows exactly what versions were applied and when.

What counts as included support versus a separate job?

Included: updates, security patching, monitoring, backups, restores and the agreed editing hours for content changes. Not included: redesigns, new features, new integrations, migrating to a new platform, or cleaning up a hack caused by credentials shared elsewhere. There is also a genuine grey area when a plugin update breaks a third-party plugin, and in those cases we roll back free and quote the real fix.

Do you maintain sites you did not build?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We start with a short onboarding audit to find out what is actually running, because inherited sites often have abandoned plugins, no backups and an admin account still tied to a former developer. That onboarding is a one-off fee. If the site is built on a page builder or a closed platform with serious problems, we will tell you when maintenance is a poor use of money compared to a rebuild.

What happens if a plugin or platform update breaks my site?

We roll back to the last working version from the staging test or a backup, usually within an hour, and your site stays up. We then trace the conflict and either hold the update until the vendor fixes it or find a replacement plugin. What we cannot do is force a third-party vendor to fix their code, so occasionally the honest answer is that a plugin has been abandoned and needs replacing, which is a quoted job.
